This Week in Room 8 ( 1/22 to 1/26)

ELA:
This week we will be working on the following skills:

• Identifying and using the correct subject pronoun (I, she, he, it, you, they, we)
• Comparing and contrasting characters' experience by identifying words and phrases in stories and in poems that suggest feelings or appeal to the senses.
• Spelling patterns with Long o (o, o_e)  and Long u (u, u_e) 
• /j/ spelled ge or gi

Rooted Mind:

• -cede, - ceed, -cess (means to go, yield, withdraw)

Writing:

We are adding our final touches to our class book (cover, title page, and table of contents). Woohoo! This week we will begin our opinion writing.
