This Week in Room 8 (10/2 to 10/6)

ELA: 
This week we will continue our Family unit. We will be reading a wide-range of literature and making connections with the text.

We will be working on the following skills:

• short u
• adding -ing to the end of a word with no spelling change
• continued practice with punctuation

Math:

We are working hard to make sure that we write our numbers between 1-120 without flips, naming numbers up to 120, and determining what comes before and after a given number.

This week we will work on the following skills:

• practice relating counting on and counting back for addition and subtraction
• use addition and subtraction within 20 to solve word problems
• continued practice and extension on graphing
