This Week in Room 8 (3/6 to 3/9)

ELA:
This week we will be working on the following skills:

  • using adjectives to compare
  • dropping the "e" before adding "ing" in present verbs (smile = smiling)
  • review identifying adjectives, verbs, and nouns

As we read, we are working on becoming character experts to deepen our understanding of a story. We will be doing this by exploring the following:
  • how a character changes emotions throughout a story
  • comparing and contrasting the experiences/emotions of different characters in different stories

  • 3-D shape attributes

This week we will be preparing for the 1st Grade assembly next week on kindness. We will continue to look at our W.I.G.s (Wildly Important Goals) that we created last week. We will look at the steps we need to take to reach our goals, encourage one another to make choices that help us reach our goals, and celebrate our accomplishments along the way!
